Forty years of Eboni

SATURDAY, THE SEVENTH OF NOVEMBER  ยท  ATLANTA

When I imagined turning forty, I wanted to be intentional about celebrating all of me: the woman I was, the woman I am, and the woman I’m still becoming.

The woman I was didn’t celebrate herself, even though she had every reason to. She was working a lot, showing up for everyone around her, and she was navigating loss. There wasn’t much room left for anything else.

The woman I am knows that grief shaped her into someone stronger, and brighter. She’s founded a non-profit, Angel’s Daughter, belongs to a fitness community that inspires her, and finally learned to tend to herself. This weekend is for her, including her two partner promotions in 2022 and 2025 that went uncelebrated.

The woman I’m becoming, we’ll have to wait and see. I’m excited to build this life for her and watch her wishes come true.

She’s imperfect. She’s amazing. She’s me. She’s finally forty. It would be my honor if you’d celebrate with me.

With love,

Eboni
